Disney Channel Holiday Specials

Last year I went through some Cartoon Christmas specials for nostalgic enjoyment. However, My mom is a Disney mom, and raised me to be a Disney stan. So I just had to go back to Disney Channel Classics for their Holiday specials this season!

Recess Christmas: Miracle on Third Street

Shout out to the "undeserving European savages" line from the Thanksgiving flashback. Anyways, this "movie" special isn't like the epic Power Puff Girls one. It's just a collection of 3 episodes, including the Christmas special from season 2, "Yes, Mikey, Santa does shave." Now that Christmas special is what you'd really want from a Recess Holiday episode. Mikey is on a quest to prove that Santa exists. And in Recess fashion , Christmas magic is here!

Lizzie McGuire: Xtreme Xmas

One of the most nostalgic shows on this list, Lizzie McGuire spends this episode re-learning what Christmas really means. She learns that the holiday season is all about "good will toward man" and is then rewarded for her services with a mini Steven Tyler concert????? A lot to unpack with that cameo special appearance...

Even Stevens: Heck of a Hannukah

As the title suggest, this was one heck of a Hannukah special. Did not expect this to be an alternate dimension story, but it was. I really enjoyed. It carried the same humor from the rest of the show while also presenting a wholesome story perfect for the holidays.

The Proud Family: Seven Days of Kwanzaa

This one really got me thinking. I absolutely loved this episode! It made me so uncomfortable seeing how some of the characters were rude to the homeless family, so I was so glad the Proud Family became closer to them through the Kwanzaa celebrations of the episode in the most wholesome way. And that weird twist at the end, like what the heck? Where did that even come from and what was it's purpose? Anyways, definitely one of my favorite holiday specials on this list.

Suite Life of Zack & Cody: Christmas at the Tipton

My boys <3 There was a few different things going on here. First of all, there was the show's adaption of the birth of Jesus... Yeah. Then there was "it's the thought that counts" kind of plot with Maddie & London. And with the twins, there was whole arc with Cody thinking his divorced parents would get back together - which was actually pretty deep. Divorce in a kids show isn't something we see to often, especially with a divorced couple getting a long. Overall, cute little Christmas episode of the series.

Phineas & Ferb Christmas Vacation!

"Moooooom! Phineas & Ferb are making a Christmas Special!" This was literally everything you'd want a Christmas special for this show to be like. The intro, the festive Agent P theme, and an epic arrangement of catchy festive tunes along with the story made this for a wonderful special of one of the greatest shows to every be on Disney Channel. Even Doofenshmirz had a merry time until carolers barged in demanding deserts. There are a few other Christmas specials that came from this show, and I'd also recommend all of them.

Kim Possible: A Very Possible Christmas

Awwww this was nice! I loved that Ron made sure that Kim had a cozy Christmas with her family by going on a solo mission against Drakken. But of course, Kim Possible went on an action packed adventure anyway. In the end we see friends and foes gather for the festive season in an escape pod trash can. Very wholesome indeed.

That's So Raven: Escape Claus

My gurl dropping an Xmas special! This was a classic Raven shenanigan with a Holiday twist. As usual, Raven acts on one of her visions and it all goes wrong. I always enjoy watching this show, no matter the season. Disney Channel has never seen a more perfect cast. And being honest, those last five minutes legitimately got me emotional. Family traditions are what make the Holidays magical, and that ended up being the moral of the story in the end.
