Last year at the Oscars, Everything Everywhere All at Once was really in the spotlight. When I first watched the film - no. No, I was not disappointed. This movie, quite literally has everything. It's a Sci Fi Action Comedy Drama film. It makes you laugh, makes you cry, makes you smile, makes you think. There's a lot of nonsense, and a lot of heart. I feel the passion behind the screen. The Actors and writers and cast and crew really made this a special experience. ___ and ___ went out and earned the Oscars, portraying these characters like their life depended on it. They were "alive" in every line of dialogue. It's fun & emotional. The music and acting hit. The fighting was very well choreographed. This was worthy of film of the year.
My Rating: ★★★★★★★★★★
"Astronaut Sam Bell has a quintessentially personal encounter toward the end of his three-year stint on the Moon, where he, working alongside his computer, GERTY, sends back to Earth parcels of a resource that has helped diminish our planet's power problems."

Spoiler alert... This is a Sci-Fi about clones. The only thing I knew going into this movie was the fact that it's science fiction. I ended up being pleasantly surprised I thought this to be a well done take on the concept of clones. It's really strengthened with the underlying tragedy as the clones learned the truth. At first I though it was an hallucination, but after the old security footage followed by the discovery of this massive endless hall of sleeping clones, this obviously was no longer the case. Good writing, good visuals, and wonderful acting provided by Sam Rockwell - this is a solid choice if you have interest in these themes of science fiction.
My Rating: ★★★★★★★★☆☆

As someone who has been a fan from the first game, I was a bit eerie about the film to begin with. With such complex lore, how would they make a concise story made for a two hour movie when we're 10 games into the franchise & seemingly have more questions than answers?
I'm glad Scott Cawthon himself figured it out & wrote the script. The movie could have been seriously messy, but it was a fairly straightforward story mostly based on the 1st game. It's definitely not cannon to the rest of the franchise. In fact, there are actually several story elements taken from bits throughout many games & copy-pasted into this new re-telling of William Afton. I was pleased enough. Some fans might rage, and sure it wasn't perfect. But yeah... It could've been worse. It worked.
The film was not as scary as many of the games. I was uncomfortable during some moments & the animatronics never fail to unnerve me. Actors did a solid job. Shout out to the MatPat cameo. And the credits! They played Living Tombstone's song. Fan service at its finest. Also... stick to very end for a surprise......
