JULY WATCH PARTY - Natural Born Killers (1994), A.I. Artificial Intelligence (2001), Midori-ko (2010)

     "Two victims of traumatized childhoods become lovers and psychopathic serial murderers irresponsibly glorified by the mass media." -  IMDB   What the heck. Yeah this was an experience. No surprise Quentin Tarantino was in the writers room. The movie was giving Tarantino vibes even if he only wrote the story. The cinematography and editng were crazy. Paired with the lighting and action, this movie was a visual feast. I watched this movie for Woody Harrelson, and stayed for Australian Robert Doweny Jr. This movie was early in both of their careers and they were massive stand outs. I loved this movie more than I thought I would and I low key ship Mickey & Mallory. "A meek Hobbit from the Shire and eight companions set out on a journey to destroy the powerful One Ring and save Middle-earth from the Dark Lord Sauron." - IMDB Every once in a while, I just see enough memes and clips to give me that Middle-Earth itch and I just have to watch an extended version of one of the movies. this often means Fellowship of the Ring. The first half ish hour is just nostalgic more than anything else in all of existence. The music helps, but Hobbiton is just pure and cozy and honestly home to anyone and everyone who is into fantasy. You can’t say you are a fan of the fantasy genre if the Shire doesn’t make you shed even a single tear.  The pacing of these movies is just perfect. There is super fun, action packed, well-choreographed fights. There are moments of tension. There are moments of grief. With the fellowship, there are heartwarming deep moments of friendship.
