I am very active on IMDB. I rate everything I watch and I also keep several lists, which I have linked below:
Every movie that I rated 10 stars and select favorites that I rated 7, 8, or 9 stars. I consider these my favorites, with the top 100 being best of all time ever for me. Not only do I find them of high quality, some may have more nostalgic feels or meaningful memories that make some of my placements a bit biased.
I have another Favorite Movies list, but this one is slightly different to that one. It's exactly the same as the previous list, except it excludes all Disney (animated, pixar, Pirates), Harry Potter(+Fantastic Beasts), and MCU films(not Deadpool, X men, ect). I'm just excluding my favourite franchises, giving other films a higher position I guess, and only making this a Top 100 of all Time. Think of it as My Unbiased Top Movies?
Every show ever that I've dedicatedly watched, at least for a whole season, rated based on what I'd prefer to watch given the choice at any given time. Personal meaning, overall quality & consistency, and overall enjoyment are considered as well.
All Video Games I've ever played, watched let's plays of, or both. Top 250 Ranked. Based on how much I enjoyed them, how good gameplay is, and how impactful artistic components are. Top 50 are what I consider the greatest, well-rounded gaming experiences of all time.
Actors and actresses that I love to watch, from their popular roles to unrecognizable roles. These people, in my opinion, have represented what acting is - an art, an escape - through many breath taking performances, whether it be the big screen or the small. When ranking I considered talent, number of brilliant of performances I've seen from them, and slight bias given after watching some of them for years.
Voice Acting is very precise art that I appreciate very much. Voice actors deserve so much more recognition than what they get. VAs on this list are those I hear most through animations, anime, and video games, and I'm in awe at what they're capable of.
Favorite Composers & Favorite Directors
Though these are both short lists, I find them somewhat necessary. Whenever I have a moment of "this movie is really good" or "this soundtrack is beautiful," I go to research who is responsible for making it so and I often see these same names.
I've binge watched all of these Disney films, and it hurts to have some at the bottom because most of these movies are good. But there are some that are better, some that are just fantastic, and some that always make me feel something at the end. I ranked these movies based on, given the choice, what I'd rather watch, not by actual movie rating. This is both opinion and critical based.
Fictional couples are not good for my mental health, sailed or not...
