The one thing that pulls me into obsessive mode for any show or movie is complex characters. What really drives me crazy.... complex ships. And these three couples today are very toxic, but not all is what it seems on the surface. Tom & Shiv  I wrote an essay that ended up being 8000+ words long . Succession is full of complex characters & these two are my favorite. When defending the idea that they never divorce, my main point is that they are not a normal couple. They didn't start dating out of love. The foundation of their relationship is money and power. My main point is also that Shiv was on the Zuko trajectory, except we never saw that season 3 redemption era. I also discussed how the script literally confirms they are together forever, even if it's not in a happily ever after sort of way. Tom also is everyone's pain sponge, not just Mattson's. The trio of getting things done is on the hunt for Merry and Pippin and gets dragged into war along the way. They are there during the liberation of Rohan as they vanquished Saruman’s influence here. The king is freed from his curse and the weird creep that looks like the pedophile from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang is banished.  Oh and Gandalf the White has entered the chat. Gandalf the White??? Where kh4 at?   At E3 in 2013, the announcement teaser for Kingdom Hearts 3 dropped. Which was good timing because that was the summer I decided to become a fan. For the next 6 years, I’d catch up with all the lore. Watch and/or play the games. Memorized lines, music, and Utada’s songs. I was and still am an avid follower of the X Keepers. I started watching HMK since I saw one of his reaction videos and was like “bro he’s like me” and became a fan of the others a couple years later. I lived up to the title of KH fan by expecting a KH trailer at every gaming event and proudly wear my clown makeup to this day. And when Square Enix showed up with a pop up event at Disney Springs, I was there and played the Kingdom Hearts 3 demo a month before it's release and preceded to carry my sister’s keyblade ...

" -  IMDB    This was a Leonardo DiCaprio classic that I've been very excited to experience given it's reputation. Now, the film is quite famous for its major plot twist.... But in Yoda's voice - there is another, and it's not so obvious as it took another person's review for me see it. Scorsese & DiCaprio go well together and this surely applies to this psychological thriller drama. I'd love to talk more, but I really don't want to spoil it if you haven't seen it. Severus Snape is undoubtedly the most controversial character in the Harry Potter franchise. He may have been a hero. Maybe we mix our love of Alan Rickman with our love for the character. But he was still a bully. And he was still a Death Eater. So let's try and deep dive as to what, why, and who Snape is. Childhood Severus Snape grew up to parents who were on some level abusive or neglectful or just unlikeable. That, alone, can F up a kid from the get go. He also was poor and had no friends - attributing to more isolation. Snape's bitterness towards life was developed so early, it's no surprise that a general disdain towards everything and everyone would be ingrained in his personality.  When a person is unhappy in life, it's common for them to project this externally whether it be through their mannerisms, attitude, and/or social interactions. I got what I wanted Season 5 but the cost was cringey dialogue & lots of cheese. I don't wanna say the writing was bad because the plot was solid, but dialogue was odd. Cheesey & sappy & awkward. But it's the final season so I guess I can let it slide. The stakes were higher Season 5 vs Season 4, but at this point - our squad knows what they're doing. They're Level 20 in their classes. Well oiled machines. They also made use of a lot of plot holes & other developed lore the writers forgot about...
